ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the rapid diagnostic value of serum novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) IgM/IgG detection in COVID-19, aiming to further improve the diagnostic and screening system of COVID-19.Methods:Blood samples were collected from 32 patients with COVID-19 (tested positive for 2019-nCoV nucleic acid by RT-PCR and presented with clinical symptoms) and 34 non-COVID-19 patients (tested negative for 2019-nCoV nucleic acid by RT-PCR and clinically confirmed as non-COVID-19 patients). Colloidal gold-based immunochromatography was used for rapid detection of 2019-nCoV IgM/IgG in these samples. The sensitivity and specificity of the test, and the correlation of serum 2019-nCoV IgM/IgG with disease course were analyzed. Results:Among the 32 COVID-19 patients, nine tested positive for 2019-nCoV IgM with a positive rate of 28.1% (9/32) and 25 positive for 2019-nCoV IgG with a positive rate of 78.1% (25/32). The total positive rate was 84.4% (27/32). Two of the 34 non-COVID-19 patients tested positive for 2019-nCoV IgG with a positive rate of 5.9% (2/34), while none of them was positive for 2019-nCoV IgM. The positive rates of serum IgM were 42.9% (3/7), 30.8% (4/13) and 16.7% (2/12) at 10-20 d, 21-30 d and 31-40 d after the patients developed the symptoms of COVID-19, respectively, which showed a decreasing tread with prolonged disease course. The positive rates of serum IgG in COVID-19 patients were 57.1% (4/7), 84.6% (11/13) and 83.3% (10/12) at 10-20 d, 21-30 d and 30-40 d after symptom onset. The rate showed an increasing trend with prolonged disease course and reached the peak in about 21-30 d.Conclusions:Serum 2019-nCoV IgM/IgG detection (using colloidal gold method) had high sensitivity (84.4%) and strong specificity (94.1%) in the diagnosis of 2019-nCoV infection. It had a great value in the diagnosis and screening of COVID-19 and could be used as a valuable complementary method to the COVID-19 diagnostic system due to its advantages of flexibility, rapidity and simplicity.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effect of BMSC transplantation on the recovery of neurological function in rats with cerebral infarction, and to explore the related mechanism.Methods:90 rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:sham operation group, control group,BMSC transplantation group,30 rats in each group. The control group and BMSC transplantation group established middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model, the sham operation group only need to separate the cervical tissue of rats, and MCAO model in the MCAO model operation. After 1 days of BMSC transplantation group by intravenous injection of 1 mL 3× 106 BMSC,the control group was injected with the same dose of NS in MCAO after 1 D,3 D,7 d,14 d,21 d,28 d,35 d,42 d,49 D respectively, the neurological function score of rats (mNSS),after 2 months of transplantation BMSC group and control group of brain tissue for immunohistochemical staining, detection of MAP2,TUJ1,Ⅷ factor, the expression of GFAP.Results:In seventh to thirty-fifth days after treatment,BMSC mNSS transplantation group were significantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05).2 months after BMSC transplantation group MAP2,TUJ1,Ⅷ expression level was significantly higher than the control group, while the control group, the expression of GFAP was significantly higher than that of BMSC group (P < 0.01).Conclusion:BMSC transplantation in order to promote the recovery of neurological function in cerebral infarction.

ABSTRACT

Aimed at tackling the compatibility issues arising from the drug reaction in intravenous infusion tube, we developed a simple, suitable and multi-function intravenous infusion tube for the special use for rescuing critical patients, the elderly, children etc. Each drug in a transfusion process can be filtered to realize quantitative packet and packet delivery. Thus, the drugs in the infusion tube are prevented from meeting with each other. No overlap, no particle pollution occurred. Stable performance and accurate dosage are maintained. As a result safety is ensured during drug delivery.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the prevalence rate of hypertension among the elderly population in Shanxi Province. Methods According to the random sampling, 41 residents committees of city blocks and villages of 9 areas (including Taiyuan, Datong, Jinzhong, Yuncheng, et al) of Shanxi Province were extracted as the investigative spots. All the people were older than 55years, and risk factors for hypertension were identified. Results A total of 3702 people were surveyed, including 1,782 men and 1,920 women. The total hypertension prevalence rate was 39.0%(the standardized rate: 39. 5 %), with 38. 7 % in men (the standardized rate: 38. 5%), 39.3 % in women (the standardized rate: 41.2%), and no statistic significance was found between men and women (χ2= 0. 143, P>0. 05). Aging, lacking of knowledge, and obesity were risk factors for hypertension. Conclusions The hypertension in Shanxi Province has a high prevalence rate among the elderly population, a comprehensive intervention should be taken in the prevention of hypertension.

ABSTRACT

Objective To comprehend the prevalence rate, awareness rate and the risk factors of hypertension among inhabitants in Shanxi Province. Methods With cluster random sampling,41 committees and villages among nine areas of Shanxi Province were selected as the investigative spots, including Taiyuan,Datong,Jinzhong,Yuncheng and etc. In each spot, permanent residents aged above 15 yrs were investigated on the correlation study of hypertension. Results In this study,10 792 people were investigated, male 4 721 and female 6 071. The prevalent rate of hypertension was 25.4%,the standardized rate was 23.6%,28.0% in male and 23.4% in female. The awareness rate for hypertension was 44.8%,38.6% in male and 50.5% in female. The multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed the risk factors for hypertension in this population included male, the aged people, lacking of knowledge, drinking alcohol, and obesity. Conclusion There is high prevalent rate of hypertension in Shanxi Province. So we should take the measures aiming at the present situation and risk factors of hypertension.

ABSTRACT

Problem-based learning(PBL)plays an improtant role in fostering the ability of problem-solving,creative thinking and active learning of medical undergraduates.Based on the present clinical education resources, how to implement PBL at the largest advantages is the main issue we should concern.
